# Delete a VAT category

To delete a VAT Category: 

* Go to Master --> VAT Category. 
* Click on the VAT category you want to delete from the list of VAT categories. Click on the ‘delete’ button and select ‘yes’. 

Note:  If you have already associated a VAT category with a transaction, that VAT category cannot be deleted.
