# Reconcile a transaction

Reconcile will only be successful if all the transactions are in Explained status and Current bank balance matches the SimpleAccounts Balance.

To reconcile a transaction with the bank statement: 

* Go to Banking --> Bank Account. 
* Click on the bank account number which you need to reconcile 
* Select Reconcile tab on top right corner of the page 
* Enter date and closing balance as per the date  
* Click on Reconcile
